Client Needs & Requirements
The clients wanted to showcase a donate button as a popup during the orders are reviewed and on their checkout page, the insertion of the selected donation amount summed up with the bought orders has to be displayed.
Our Take on the Challenges
Keeping our client’s requirements in mind, we decided to create the required popup with an intention to display the donate button and the content revolving around the intention, and for that, we enabled the Elementor popup. As the company was already using a plugin named WC Checkout Status for the checkout page, we had to manage to display and function the popup in such a way that it becomes compatible with the checkout plugin.
Solutions
Keeping the functionality of the two plugins i.e. Elementor Plugin and WC Checkout Status plugin in mind, our team of expert WordPress experts had to flawlessly intertwine the functionality of both of these plugins so as to make them work together and with the start of the WC Checkout Status plugin, the Elementor plugin should be triggered and the popup should appear at the right time.
Implementing all the necessary and required changes has led to decide a proper flow of the payment and checkout as with adding a new functionality of donation, there are slight changes in the checkout pages as well. After someone decides to donate a certain amount to the organization by filling a form with an option to set the donation amount, they will proceed towards the checkout page where the order, as well as the donation amount, will be summed and a final amount will be showcased.
End Results
After making all the desired changes and fulfilling all the requirements, here are the end results with the additional functionalities and changes.
